Brian and Justin are in the loft. Justin is
slowly packing and Brian is pouring drinks at the
counter.
Brian: When's your flight?
Justin: Ten. I think I found a place to stay.
Daphne (??) has a friend in the East Village.
Brian walks over and hands Justin a drink. Justin
takes it, then continues:
J: Finding a workspace is going to be difficult.
Apparently everything costs a fortune."
B: You'll manage. You always do.
The two of them are sort of pacing around the
loft as they talk, not really making eye contact,
as they make small talk. But at Brian's remark,
Justin stops and turns to look at him.
J: I'll be back.
He waits for Brian to turn around and look at him
and when he does, he gives him a pointed look
before continuing as he moves toward Brian.
J: And you'll come there. We're going to see each
other all the time.
B: You don't know that. (pause) Neither do I.
They look at each other for a moment, then Brian
goes on:
B: Whether we see each other next weekend, next
month...never again, it doesn't matter. It's only
time."
Another long look between them. Brian is the
first to look away as he turns and takes a swig
of his drink. Justin downs his drink in one gulp.
He turns to put the empty glass on the coffee
table and notices the ring box sitting there. He
picks it up and looks over at Brian.
J: You didn't return them? (sounding surprised as
he holds the box out toward Brian)
Brian turns around and shakes his head.
B: I didn't return them.
Brian gives a small smile as Justin opens the box
and looks at the rings for a moment. Then Justin
closes the box and sets it back on the coffee
table before walking back over to Brian.
J: We don't need rings or vows to prove that we
love each other. We already know that.
Brian smiles, then nods. Then he puts his hand on
Justin's shoulder.
B: You did it.
J: Did what?
B: Became... the best homosexual you could
possibly be.
Justin smiles, starts to get emotional, looks up
at Brian, who smiles at him. Justin puts his
hands on Brian's shoulders, then Brian reaches
out to grab Justin by the back of the neck and
pull him in for a hard kiss.
A series of passionate kisses, and then they stop
and exchange a long, meaningful look.
Cue the music and the scene shifts to them at
first making love on the couch, and later on the
bed. The song that is playing sounds vaguely
familiar, but I don't know the name of it. The
line that repeats the most is "now she's gone,
love burns inside me..." When they're done, Brian
looks down at Justin for a long moment, the
emotion evident on his face. Justin smiles up at
him and then Brian buries his face in Justin's
neck and stays there in an embrace. Then the
scene morphs to Brian lying in bed alone. Various
shots of Brian in the loft alone, sitting on the
side of the bed smoking a cigarette and so on, as
the song fades.
哭泣ing中,我8要活了,也太伤感了
Now what I never kiss your lips again
or feel the touch of you sweet embrace
How would I ever go on
Without you there's no place to belong
well someday love is gonna lead you back to me
But til it does I'll have an empty heart
So I just have to believe
Somewhere out there you're thinking of me
Til the day I let you go
Til we say our next hello
It's not goodbye
Til I see you again
I'll be right here remebering when
If time is so on our side
There'll be no tears to cry on down the road
There's one thing I can't deny
It's not goodbye
It's just a matter of time I'm sure
