CMF 10 Southern Regional Grand Finale
The top 60 movies, as selected by our distinguished panel of judges, CMF Staff, and text voting results, will converge on Atlanta on Saturday, March 27, for daylong screenings, awards, and musical performances. Join us to celebrate the first tour of 2010 for Campus MovieFest -- the best yet, with HD cameras, AT&T Samsung handsets, trips to film festivals, and more opportunities than ever for students to share their stories on the big screen.
CMF Screenings
First up, CMF is hosting a series of screenings and related Q&As between 10am - 4:45pm on Saturday, March 27, at the Tabernacle. Check out the schedule, which is updated as schools finish their campus events. Free tickets are available for CMF filmmakers and their guests. Screenings are free and open to the public.
CMF Southern Regional Grand Finale
Then, the best of the best from the Southern Region of CMF are showcased on Saturday, March 27, at the Tabernacle. Doors open at 7pm; the show begins at 8pm. The black-tie optional, red carpet event features the top 16 movies, along with Golden Tripod Awards, special presenters, and prizes! Tickets are available to the public for $10. Winning CMF filmmakers can redeem two free tickets using their discount codes.

This year's special guests
Michael Imperioli (Emmy-award winning actor from The Sopranos, The Lovely Bones, Life on Mars, Law & Order, Goodfellas) and David Friendly (Oscar-nominated producer of Little Miss Sunshine, Courage Under Fire, My Girl) will accept the CMF Golden Tripod Awards, and Gale Harold (Falling for Grace, Desperate Housewives, Deadwood, Queer as Folk), a previous recipient and presenter at the CMF Int'l Grand Finale, will join an unforgettable group of special presenters at this year's CMF Southern Regional Grand Finale.

Gale: Knowing that your organization comes from here..it's exciting, you know, it's inspiring,

I think a lot of things I heard... the ones that I've been paying attention to tonight's talking...it's all really true,
只是...给大家提供一种...一个可遇不可求的机会
just um...providing some sort of...almost untouchable opportunity for people.
给他们提供了一种工作环境, 不仅仅是得到器材及反馈
They have access to an environment, not only to get, you know, gear and some feedback,
同时还给他们一个展示自己作品的机会
but then have the opportunity to put their material up,
跟他们的..和他们的同行们一起观赏，让作品有机会得到行家的鉴赏
and have their,...you know...have their compatriots watch it and have well judged
这个学习的经历是很难得的
and then that learning experience is hard to come by
如果你没有上过大学 没有上过影视学院
if you haven't gone through university, you haven't been to film school
或者你没有下过苦功, 就像一个契机
or if you haven't been slogging it out. It's really a jump-start
这真的..它的价值真是令人难以置信 因为很多人..他们确实精力耗尽
you know..that..it's incredibly valuable. Because a lot of people, they...they do burn out

or they get lost in the real world trying to pay their rent without having a chance to really see their work

and an environment where they can see the people they work with, they respect
they...are in the competition with whatever you know,

I think that it's inspiring that their organizations like CMF are doing it and if you have an idea,
